looking day out there today. >> weather wise, we talking about temperatures that generally came in about where they should be, or maybe even a little warmer than average. >> lots of 70s low 80s. we're still in spring. not quite the summer yet, but it does feel summer like out there with all that fog. take a look at the temperatures from today. temperatures a little warmer or a little a little cooler than they were yesterday. by 1 or 2 degrees. a couple of spots are actually a little warmer tomorrow will be a little bit warmer still, and then we'll kind of continue on with this. temperatures that fluctuate based on how the fog fluctuates. there is a live picture of the coastal fog and it's getting deeper. it's deepened up quite a bit in the last few hours. and that means it's going to get when i say deeper, it gets thicker, the fog bank. and so it just has a better opportunity to get up over the topography of the coastal hills, up over the marin headlands, up over right over montara mountain and into the valleys and into the inland areas, which will benefit with cooling. and that's what we'll see again tonight. right now, the marine layer is about 1500ft

deep. last night it got up to about 2200ft deep. and that put fog all the way inland. that's going to happen again tonight. so this is a right now picture of the fog. that's how it looks tomorrow morning. plenty of fog. and then the day lines up like this with microclimates. cool coasts, mild bay warm inland bay. and then very warm far inland bay with temperatures in the reds. probably in the upper 80s low 90s. so what have we got? oh, we got some thunderstorms to talk about. some scattered showers and thunderstorms showing up on the west slope of the sierra nevada, kind of popping off down there south of bear valley, more down towards mammoth, but definitely some activity. and that will continue on. but as the sun sets, of course that goes away. current temperatures running about where they were yesterday or like in oakland, it's a little cooler, about the same in san francisco. and then forecast highs for tomorrow. 83 in fairfield, 84 in the annex. so that's a little bit warmer than today. but just a pleasant, very pleasant plan for the week as we push through the forecast period

with no rain really for the bay area certainly, but plenty of fog, which is what you would expect. and then kind of this cool down as we get to saturday and sunday, there's a system, the highs kind of set us up with, with, with this pattern. but the high goes away somewhere around friday night into saturday and sunday and temperatures drop. but it's subtle stuff. i mean, none of this is big time change. it's just subtle changes. right through the bay area weekend. mike. >> all right. sounds good. bill. thank you. >> all right. coming up next in sports the 40 niners now know who they will be playing in week one of the regular season. it is a familiar foe. our jason appelbaum will have that. and other key mat up to look ( ♪ ) you made a cow! actually it's a piggy bank. my inspiration to start saving. how about a more solid way to save? i'm listening. well, bmo helps get your savings habit into shape with a cash reward every month you save. both: cash reward? and there's a cash bonus when you open a new checking account to get you started. wow.
